Package pat strives to be user friendly and
easy to use. When I sought an image to best represent
this I considered several possibilities: using a key
to represent the first letter of Pat, spelling pat out
with keys, and other ideas. None of this seemed to
really capture the spirit of the way I would like my
software to be perceived. Eventually, I was struck
with the idea of using something that was drawn by
my daughter -- something that displayed a naturalhappiness and simplicity, but something, as you can see, contains many loving details.This struck me as about the right balance, so when I found my eight-year old daughter, Juliette, making this picture one morning I asked her to name the girl Pat and carried her artwork to my scanner. I hope that this software can live up to the expectations of happy simplicity that
this picture conveys. |
